Don’t miss the boat!
Form a team or come and watch. Either way, you’ll see why dragon boat racing is the fastest growing water sport in the world! It’s a sport for both the young and old, the occasional calorie burner, or the weekend warrior. All teams will have a chance to learn and practice the basics of paddling a dragon boat the week before race day. It’s very similar to paddling a canoe, but ten people paddle while one teammate is beating out a cadence on the dragon drum. Sounds like fun? It is!

It’s a fundraiser for kids!
All the fun and excitement is for a good cause. Through our sponsors and team pledges, the event is a major fundraiser for non-profit programs and services for area youth. WE ARE RACING FOR THE KIDS. See our beneficiaries page for more information.

It’s a festival too.
